Two Creation Stories in the Bible

It is not too long into the Christian Bible to see a problem, a glaring inconsistancy.  There are two stories describing the Creation.  This inconsistancy is actually well known and is even described by names for each of the two stories - "Priestly source" Genesis 1 and the "Yahweh source" Genesis 2.  Some bibical historians believe both creations stories derive from mesopotamiam sources when the Hebrews were in capitivity.  

Genesis 1:26-27 Then God said, “Let us make humankind in our image... So God created humankind in  his image ...male and female...”

Genesis 2: 7-22 “...then the Lord God formed man from the dust of the ground , and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life... then the Lord God said , “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper... and the rib that the Lord God had taken from the man he made into a women and brought her to the man.”

Recently discovered ruins at Gobekli Tepe in Turkey.  Estimated to be larger and much older than Stonehenge in England.  Possibly built by neo-lithic people at the end of the last ice age.

The "Sons of God" in Genesis 6, mentioned in our opening argument, could have been the builders of this oldest known civilization site, located in the head waters of the "garden of Eden".

    As our view of Creation changes, so does our view of God change.
